Transferring to Secondary School
The Enfield Schools Admissions Service (ESAS) is responsible for coordinating the allocation of secondary transfer places in Enfield to make sure that as many children as possible get places at schools of their parents’ preference. If children reside outside the Borough of Enfield, parents need to contact the Local Authority for the borough or county in which they live. When applying for a secondary school place, parents can express a preference for six schools. This includes voluntary aided, foundation and out of Borough schools but does not include private schools.
Please see the Secondary School Places page on the Enfield Council website for full information about the process.

Non Verbal Reasoning and Selective Schools
A number of our pupils progress to selective secondary schooling in both state and private systems. We wish to support those children who show an aptitude for this type of schooling, which does not suit all. Extra-curricular classes are offered to year 5 and 6 pupils in non-verbal reasoning and verbal reasoning tests which are used by selective schools.
Selective schools Raglan pupils attend include:
- City of London School, Queen Victoria Street, London
- Dame Alice Owen’s School, Potters Bar
- Harrow School

- St Alban’s Boys’ School
- St Columba’s College, St Albans
- The Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School
